Santa Girls
This year we attended the Festival of Trees here in Fort McMurray for the first time and, while it wasnt the most exciting thing ever, it certainly helped to put us in the holiday spirit! Julia went to visit with Santa but Elena has decided to be considerably suspicious of large men in funny costumes this year and refused to go anywhere near the man in red.
Once we got home, however, she was very attached to the Santa hat!
Both girls love crafting and always take the opportunity to smear glue and glitter to their heart's content. Even though Elena was cranky on this day, even she perked up considerably for crafts at the library winter festival

Halloween 2006
Elena had a super cute spider costume but refused to wear it and instead went out looking like a Hobo Dora
This was Elena's first year "Twick o tweeting" since she feel asleep enroute last yearShe made it to about fifteen houses before going home
to hand out candy with dad.
Julia, on the other hand, could have stayed out all night long!
Julia asked to go as Batman (or Batgirl) this year
So we carved her a Batman pumpkin
Elena thought they were "spoooky" 
Dwayne carved the Headless Horseman
I carved the Jolly Roger
